Privacy Policy

How information is used to arrange care for your pets.

Last updated: 13 September 2026

Draft for review. Pawley’s legal operator details and final commercial policies are still to be confirmed.

Who this notice covers

This notice describes information used by Pawley to handle enquiries, community interest, care requests, visits and care reports. The legal operator and privacy contact details must be confirmed before this draft becomes a final notice. Until then, questions can be raised through the contact page or your existing Pawley booking conversation.

Information you provide

A booking request includes your name, phone number, optional email, community, building and access information; your pets’ names, types and optional breed or care notes; and requested services, dates and visit windows. We also receive information you send through the contact form or a community interest form. Please provide only information needed for the request and avoid unnecessary information about other people.

Information created during care

Operational records include booking decisions, visit assignments, timing and status. Care reports may record food, water, toilet activity, mood, activities, medication observations, unusual events, notes, photos and video. Media can incidentally include parts of your home. Account holders also have authentication and account records. Technical providers may process connection information and security logs when you use the service.

Why information is used

Information is used to respond to you, check availability, arrange access, plan and deliver agreed care, share reports, resolve issues and protect the service against misuse. Community interest helps us understand demand and respond about the community you selected. We rely on an applicable lawful basis for each purpose, such as steps requested before a contract, performance of agreed services, legal obligations or consent where required. A care request is not consent to unrelated advertising.

Who can receive information

Relevant operations staff and assigned carers use information needed for their work. Hosting, database, media storage, email and security providers process information to support the service. WhatsApp communications are also processed under that platform’s own privacy terms. Information may be shared with a nominated emergency contact, veterinary provider or competent authority where necessary and legally permitted. Do not provide someone else’s contact details unless you are authorised to do so.

Care reports and sharing

Customer-facing reports are accessible using a private link rather than requiring the recipient to sign in. Anyone who obtains that link may be able to see the report and its media. Avoid posting it publicly. If a link has reached the wrong person, contact Pawley so the team can review and revoke access. Media collected for a care report should not be reused for public promotion without separate permission and a lawful basis.

Storage, retention and international processing

Records are kept for the period needed to arrange and document care, handle complaints, meet legal requirements and maintain necessary security and backup records. Retention periods vary by record type and must be finalised by the operator; this draft does not promise immediate erasure from all backups. Depending on the providers and regions selected, processing may occur outside the UAE. Provider locations and any required transfer safeguards must be verified before this notice is finalised.

Your choices and requests

You can ask to access or correct personal information, request deletion or restriction where applicable, and withdraw consent where processing relies on it. Withdrawal does not undo processing already lawfully carried out. Some records may need to be retained for legal reasons. We may ask for proportionate identity verification before disclosing or changing records. Use the contact page or your existing booking conversation and describe your request; you may also raise concerns with the competent data protection authority.

Security and information about children

Access controls and private media storage help limit access, but no internet service can promise absolute security. Keep account credentials and report links confidential. Bookings should be made by someone legally able to contract and authorise care; do not include children’s personal details or images in your care instructions. Tell us if unnecessary personal information has been included so we can assess its removal.

Updates to this notice

We will revise this notice when the service or its data handling changes. The date above identifies this version. Material changes and any new consent requirements should be communicated before the affected processing begins. The Cookie Policy explains browser storage separately.
